The TNP Rapa Carbon is perhaps the pinnacle of this. No word of a lie, for the money you will not get a better "plastic" bladed kayak paddle. The blades are constructed from a carbon reinforced nylon polyamide, this produces a blade this is very light but crucially very stiff. Your always get some flex in plastic blades but these really are a good as it gets , only a composite/ glass blade performs better. Size wise the Rapa has what most people would describe as a medium size blade 713cm squared, this means this blade is perfect for teenagers or ladies who don't want a massive blade to pull through the water, but plenty powerful enough to keep even to strongest chap happy.
The Shaft is a solid spun glass bit of genius that again for the money is as good as you can get! solid and confidence inspiring yet still provided a nice bit of flex. Flex in the shaft is quite nice as it reduces the strain on your wrists and elbows if out for a long day on the river. Available left or right hand, 45 degree offset as standard. Other lengths feather available on request.
