  • What is a touring kayak?
A touring kayak will typically be between 10'-15' although may be longer and be designed allow you to comfortably paddle them over longer distances on inland and calm coastal waters.  Faster and more efficient through the water than a recreational kayak you'll find features such as dry storage hatches with internal bulkheads separating the cockpit, as well as a drop down skeg or rudder and safety features like deck lines.  We mostly sell rotomolded plastic touring kayaks which offer a good balance of cost weight and performance although there are some lightweight composite options available as well!
