Dagger Axis E 10.5

The Dagger Axis E 10.5 is a great kayak for the adventurous paddler, wanting an easy-to-handle kayak that is ideal for flat water cruising, but up to the challenges of shorter trips along the coast or even some moving water.

The hull combines a decent amount of bow rocker with defined chines, which aid maneuverability, adding a slightly more "sporty" feel to the boat, helping the Axis cope with some swell on the sea and give a drier ride. To counter this, a gentle "V" or keel running the length of the boat means you won't struggle to keep things going in a straight line when you just want to cruise along.

The outfitting is very comfortable with height adjustable backrest and leg lifter. A drop skeg keeps things straight in any kind of flat water, there is plenty of rear storage, and the bungee/mesh combo on the front deck allows you to keep your drinks bottle, etc. easily at hand. We reckon this is an excellent introduction to the world of touring kayaks.
