Anyone who knows our philosophy knows that a paddle without an ergonomic shaft is like a waste of power. The reason for this: Due to the ergonomic shaft, the blade is moved forward, the pressure point moves in front of the pull point (the hand) and the paddle can be moved through the water without fluttering and thus held loosely. In addition, the positive train path becomes longer.
Now, many years after the introduction of the upstream pressure point, we have responded to the call of those who do not want to hold an ergonomic shaft in their hands, for whatever reason, and have done our best to give our new "Straight-Shaft-Paddle" almost the same positive features as our ergonomist.
For this we have placed the blade forward, with which we achieve a larger front pull in the new Nitro. The pressure build-up becomes better and more even, the pressure point moves forward and the typical flutter of a straight paddle is reduced to a minimum.
Of course, the new paddle also works according to the principle of the "Hydrodynamic Lift". This additionally stabilizes the blade in the water and, with a reduced blade area, ensures a better, more uniform and more efficient pressure build-up. The hydrodynamic lift is achieved by the strongly profiled blade in conjunction with the pressure point forward displacement
LCS 70 ExtremeThe extreme structure of our LCS 70 material is made for particularly tough use. In extreme races, in heavy whitewater, and in whitewater downhill races, athletes swear by this robust material structure. On all models, an aramid wear edge is inserted into the blade, which prevents excessive abrasion at the edge of the blade. In addition, an additional layer of carbon-aramite-hybrite fabric provides more schlalting strength.
- 70% carbon for maximum tensile force, highest stiffness, low weight
- 15% aramid for high impact resistance
- 15% glass fiber for high elasticity
- Epoxy resin matrix for highest strength values
- Edges with aramid reinforcement
- Extra many layers for more stability
Vario 26 WW Ferrule
Reinforced for white water use the Vario Joint allows for 360 degree feathering and up to 10cm of length adjustment. Additionally it makes storing and transporting the paddle possible in 2-pieces.
