A high quality 2 part kayak paddle with nylon asymmetrical blades and 2 piece split Duralumin shaft. The paddle blade is a very classic asymmetric design, why asymmetric? well when you put a symmetric blade in the water (when in a kayak!) you have different amounts of blade in the water in relation to the shaft position, as you pull on this through the water this tends to twist the blade in the water or causes the blade to "flutter" an asymmetric blade simply try's to even out the amount of blade in the water as you put the blade in and it moves through the water making for a more stable controlled stroke. The blades on this paddle are a tough HDPE polyethylene, the TNP 2pc also comes with a 3 Year warranty. For the money, this is possibly the best starter paddle on the market.
