It's been an exciting journey watching this design evolve over the months. Lettmann started with a clear idea of how they wanted this new design to paddle, an all-river design that would make rivers of all size's fun and accessible to paddlers of ability.
The Lettmann Machete has a good amount of bow rocker, this helps keeping the bow up when the river gets lumpy and gives you plenty of "skip" out of drops, the low volume stern on the Machete maintains good width behind the seat for stability but allows for easy slalom style turns and squirts. The well-defined rail helps to keep the Machete moving well down river but also let the Machete excel on a wave.
